News & Stories
On Friday, 11/22/19, The Rotary club of Woodbridge presented the Bud Priest Award to Espirina Stubblefield of BHcare for The Umbrella center for Domestic Violence Services. Espirina described how the Umbrella Center provides community education about domestic violence services to all ages from young to senior. Safe houses, travel to places where the victim has a support network and counseling are a few things provided by the Umbrella Center. Congratulations BHcare and the Umbrella Center!

There are 24/7 domestic violence crisis hotlines. In the Valley area call 203-736-9944. In Greater New Haven and Shoreline areas, call 203-789-8104

As Rotary and the United Nations celebrate its special relationship this week I am attaching a link to a document that explains how this relationship began and continues to be the founding principles for the United Nations. I hope you find the information in the document interesting and helpful as you explore this historic partnership between two dynamic international organizations. Yours in Rotary, Diane Millan
