On Friday, 11/22/19, The Rotary club of Woodbridge presented the Bud Priest Award to Espirina Stubblefield of BHcare for The Umbrella center for Domestic Violence Services. Espirina described how the Umbrella Center provides community education about domestic violence services to all ages from young to senior. Safe houses, travel to places where the victim has a support network and counseling are a few things provided by the Umbrella Center. Congratulations BHcare and the Umbrella Center!

As Rotary and the United Nations celebrate its special relationship this week I am attaching a link to a document that explains how this relationship began and continues to be the founding principles for the United Nations. The Woodbridge Rotary Club is announcing that it is accepting applications for the Bud Priest Memorial Annual Award. Each year, the Woodbridge Rotary Club presents a $5,000 award to a deserving recipient within the local community.
On June 15th, the Rotary Club of Woodbridge which serves the communities of Bethany, Woodbridge and Westville section of New Haven held its 47th Installation Dinner at Birchwoods at Oaklane.
The Club will be hosting its annual fundraising event Thursday, May 31st at the Oak Lane Country Club. As with prior years, the evening will be filled with a juried homemade wine competition from 20+ local winemakers, delicious food, and a silent auction featuring "Community Leader for a Day."
On Wednesday, May 3rd, the Club wrapped up its annual presentation of dictionaries to local schools with a final visit to Ezra Academy in Woodbridge.
On Tuesday, April 24th, the Club made its annual presentation of dictionaries to 3rd graders at Beecher Road School in Woodbridge.
