WOODBRIDGE - The Woodbridge Rotary Club announced the creation of the Woodbridge Rotary COVID-19 Relief Fund last week, pledging $2500 to help neighbors and communities in need during these difficult times. Click here to make a contribution. 

On Friday, 11/22/19, The Rotary club of Woodbridge presented the Bud Priest Award to Espirina Stubblefield of BHcare for The Umbrella center for Domestic Violence Services. Espirina described how the Umbrella Center provides community education about domestic violence services to all ages from young to senior. Safe houses, travel to places where the victim has a support network and counseling are a few things provided by the Umbrella Center. Congratulations BHcare and the Umbrella Center!

The Woodbridge Rotary Club is announcing that it is accepting applications for the Bud Priest Memorial Annual Award.  Each year, the  Woodbridge Rotary Club presents a $5,000 award to a deserving recipient within the local community.

On Wednesday, May 3rd, the Club wrapped up its annual presentation of dictionaries to local schools with a final visit to Ezra Academy in Woodbridge.

On Tuesday, April 24th, the Club made its annual presentation of dictionaries to 3rd graders at Beecher Road School in Woodbridge.

The Woodbridge Rotary Club recently honored Amity High School senior Brendan Lyle as Student of the Month for January.  Each month, the Woodbridge Rotary Club and Woodbridge Social Restaurant partner to honor an Amity High School student on a monthly basis.

Amity High School senior, Harris Anderson was recently honored as Student of the Month for October.  The Woodbridge Rotary Club and Woodbridge Social Restaurant have partnered to honor an Amity High School student on a monthly basis.

Opioid abuse is a hidden but increasing epidemic, especially in the suburbs (like ours). Teenagers, their parents, and concerned residents are all invited to attend  a screening of the 45-minute documentary, “Chasing the Dragon”. Members of FBI, local law enforcement and drug-addiction specialists will also be attendance to answer questions.

Rotary will honor all 2015-2016 Students of the Month from Amity whom the Club selected this past academic year. There will be food (including strawberries), drink, music, and fun.
